About a third of all Republican Georgians want to secede from the United States, popular Web site The Daily Kos reported Friday. The conclusions come from a recent phone poll.

According to the site, "...This group of fringe GOP'ers seems to include much of the Georgia Senate, which is not altogether surprising when you consider the cast of characters the electorate in Georgia tends to send to Atlanta (and to Washington) under the GOP banner."

Texas beat us out in the number of Republicans that want to leave the country, but Georgia finds itself in the second place slot.
